Decent staff and for a High Street branch fast service. Have been helpful and reasonable over the years though not my branch. Good people, regardless of what you think of HSBC as a bank.

Lush makeover, great staff, such a great update from the one in the high street. Genuinely can't complain. You're always greeted immediately and there's plenty of seats for waiting. :) Whenever/if ever there's a problem they quickly solve and replenish anything.

Really modern and the team are great! Always people to help and the facilities are extremely useful!!

Local Chambers of Commerce for GL51 7SJ. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. What you put in is exactly what you get out. Below is the national site. Watch this slot - it might improve!
Cheltenham Town Hall

Imperial Square, Cheltenham GL50 1QA, UK – 0844 576 2210

Glorious building in a glorious Spa town. They have all kinds of entertainment here from live music, record fair's, comedians, etc etc. (I won't make a list as they have a website you can check out.) The building was one of only 2 or 3 places you could taste the glorious Spa water that Cheltenham was famous for many years ago. (I think it tastes terrible). There is a bar room in here which is also used for some events like the record fairs they hold, and the main room with the stage in- for the acts to perform. People say the acoustics in this room are not very good for live bands. Well considering when the place was built, and the fact these bands are playing live it is not going to be like sitting in a studio listening to a play-back. The staff are all friendly and seem to enjoy their work, which rubs off on the general feel of the place. There is also the good Imperial Gardens behind the building which is nice to relax in on a hot summer day.

Very. nice and nice place, great atmosphere of this place that you feel all the time being there. Just something wonderful. You must visit this place to fully feel the atmosphere of this amazing place on your own skin. This is a unique repair site worth recommending.

Dental Surgeries

Hilltop Dental Practice

42 Tommy Taylor's Ln, Cheltenham GL50 4NJ, UK – 01242 233774

Laura is a superb dentist, I have always been very pleased with her work and my children think she is so gentle and caring, yet thorough. Last week I had 6 hours with Laura while she built-up 10 of my front teeth - the result is fantastic. The colour match, size and blending is spot on. Thank you so much Laura, I can smile with confidence now.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Hilltop Dental Practice to anyone looking for a dentist in Cheltenham. We first visited Hilltop after my son had a terrible experience with a local dentist at a different practice. He had become petrified of going to any dentist. He was so anxious about going to the dentist he was physically sick. Laura has been so incredibly patient and understanding with my son. She explained every tool, what it did and how it would feel and really made him feel comfortable and confident sitting in the dentist chair. He is now transformed and actually enjoys going to the dentist now! Having seen the amazing treatment my son was getting, I decided to transfer as well and I'm so happy I did. Laura and Dawn are such a great team, so professional and thorough. I also see Claire, the hygienist, regularly and she is by far the best hygienist I have ever seen. She gives sensible, achievable advice and is so gentle. The whole team at Hilltop are so friendly and professional and I'm so glad we found the practice!

Cambray Dental

Claydon Dental Cheltenham

27 Rodney Rd, Cheltenham GL50 1HX, UK – 01242 242366

By far the best, cannot fault them! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, you really do get the VIP treatment. I was a very nervous patient from having a bad experience in the past and being very insecure about my teeth (to the point i was scared to see a dentist, stupid i know) but was reassured straight away. Jose especially is amazing as he really understood my situation which i am really thankful for. I still have a lot more work to get done but my fear of the dentist has now gone thanks to the amazing team.....I actually look forward to going now! If i could give 6 stars I would, highly highly recommend.

I have had the best experience at Clayton dental! The practice itself has such lovely interiors and all the equipment is high quality. The service is great from the minute you walk in the door so you know you’re in good hands. Jose is an excellent orthodontist and explains everything he is doing and makes you feel at ease. Could not reccomend more!

Lovely nurses + doctors

Crescent Bakery Surgery

Crescent Bakery, St George's Pl, Cheltenham GL50 3PN, UK – 01242 226336

Came here for a Vaccination that my surgery dint offer, it was well priced, though i did have to wait 2 weeks for a appointment. the staff where friendly, the surgery looked well kept. There is also a toilet here which is unusual but welcomed.

Accepting new patients. Friendly and supportive practice.

Underwood Surgery

Underwood Surgery, 139 St George's Rd, Cheltenham GL50 3EQ, UK – 01242 580644

Good doctors! Short waiting times! Just wish there was more parking 😂

My family and I have been patients at Underwood Surgery for nearly ten years. It has always delivered a good service with very short waits for my young children and a choice of familiar, friendly doctors. In the last couple of years I have noticed we need to wait longer for appointments but I would put this down to cuts from the Conservative government rather than the surgery itself.

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.

Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital

Hatherley Ln, Cheltenham GL51 6SY, UK – 01242 246500

Unfortunately I have become quite a regular at Cheltenham Nuffield and I cannot fault it. Reception, outpatient care, rooms, nurses and doctors have always been of the highest standard. I have also experienced The Manor Nuffield as an inpatient- but give me Cheltenham every time.

Outstanding care throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. Really positive, cheerful and friendly staff. Very glad I made the choice to have my operation at the Nuffield Cheltenham.

Cheltenham General Hospital

Sandford Rd, Cheltenham GL53 7AN, UK – 0300 422 2222

My father was admitted as an emergency on Good Friday, and ended up on Lilleybrook ward. I cannot fault his care, it was exceptional. All the staff involved were so caring, kind and conscientious in the face of huge pressure, and I could never thank them enough for all they did for him and us. Having experienced much lower standards where he lived before, all staff should be proud of the extremely high standard of care they achieve in Cheltenham.

In the last 5 years I have had quiet a few visits to the Hospital. On every visit but one I have had great service. The last time was earlier this year when I had to have a scan in one of those Tardis machines. It might be ECG or something like that. I showed up 5 minutes before I was due and guess what? I sat in the waiting room for..... Yes you got it, 5 minutes. Now that is service. I had a five minute chat with a nurse who injected me with a dye and then twenty minutes later I was in the machine, scanned and on my home within another ten mins. For anyone wondering the scanner is good fun. Seriously, it's nothing to worry about. I felt like I was staring in an episode of Dr. Who. Maybe I was lucky being seen so quickly as it was in January when we had all the snow. Maybe some people cancelled or something. But I was well pleased with the speed of everything. Another visit was for a broken wrist which I obtained in Liverpool. I waited about 15 mins. that time and was seen by a doctor, x-rayed, back to the doctor again and given a prescription; then off to collect my drugs from their pharmacy. That visit lasted about 90 mins. in all. Everyone I spoke to was great, friendly, helpful and not condescending in any way. The time I was admitted to have a stent put in was fine. I arrived, had to wait a while (about 50 minutes) as there was a problem of some sort. Anyway, I was wheeled into the laboratory (officially the operating theater), where the surgeon explained everything. I was offered a jab to put me to sleep (no, not like in a vet's place) which I declined and then watched on a T.V screen as the little thing was pushed through my groin into a vein somewhere inside me. I did have a local anesthetic first. I was wheeled out and left to lie around in the room I came from with about 7 other people there. Of course I was very pleased there was a nurse there as my newly acquired wound opened and started pumping blood all over me. She sorted it within a minute and all was fine. I was then wheeled to a ward for the night and went to sleep perfectly happy with yet another good visit to this place almost over. I woke up, had a chat with the nice chap in the other bed and a nurse came in. I was telling the old guy about something from years ago and to cut a longer story short the nurse told the sister that I had wished cancer on her. I was so unpopular from that point on I was glad to be away. I walked home just to get out. The whole of my visit was good. No complaints about this place at all. It was just some stupid young girl playing a daft game that spoiled it a teeny bit. All the other times it was great. Having the cast taken off my arm/wrist. Going for the test results from my scan was great as well. The doctors these days seem able to have a laugh with you rather than being those poker faced people from years ago. Added bonus... My scan was negative.

Charlton Lane Hospital

Charlton Ln, Cheltenham GL53 9DZ, UK – 01242 634100

My Mum was in Charlton Lane Willow Ward she was looked after by the staff like she was one of their own. Staff went above and beyond what anyone could wish for. A big thank you to all the staff who made visiting my mum who was late stages of Alzheimer’s more bearable. In addition they looked after myself brother and sister when we visited making sure we were coping with mums condition and they offered an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. Mum passed in April but she went with dignity and respect all down to the fantastic care given.

Find Local Churches & Places of Worship

Trinity Cheltenham

100-102 Winchcombe St, Cheltenham GL52 2NW, UK – 01242 808780

A wonderful, life affirming community worshiping in a modern & relaxed way. Very welcoming with a huge amount of activities.

Really not my cup of tea, but if you are looking for a modern Charismatic church with a really effective ministry tons of community work and solid Evangelical principles with a "megachurch" vibe and are under 60 this may be the church for you. Pneumatic dynamic and a roaring success but I'm just too staid I fear!

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Cheltenham

L'Artisan French Restaurant

30 Clarence St, Cheltenham GL50 3NX, UK – 01242 571257

Beautiful food aside what a lovely owner. It speaks volumes when one of the take away memories was the quality of service and social interactions. This is a proper French restaurant. All the staff members mother tongue is French. A healthy number of the clientele were French too, which speaks volumes for the quality of the adopted cuisine. The food was excellent, an amuse bouche was followed by seasonal mussels and one of prettiest, and delicate desserts I’ve had the pleasure of eating. An enjoyable French experience in Cheltenham. Why head to France? Make sure you book well in advance.

A cracking refined posh nosh. Proper service, with that level of waiting usually reserved for big cities or the mainland continent. Manages to stay relaxed and unpretentious but still felt thoroughly spoilt. Great wine selection with some unpressured guidance from the somelier/waiter. Spot on choice. Can't wait to go back, but need a good enough reason. Is celebrating a weekday good enough?

Côte Brasserie - Cheltenham

1 Montpellier Terrace, Cheltenham GL50 1US, UK – 01242 222374

Outstanding food well presented, very professional staff who are attentive. Tasty starters and mains very affordable with a lovely atmosphere. High quality decor. Well done!!

It was my first visit to this lovely restaurant at the top of Montpellier. The decor is good, the staff are attentive and well trained. We were a group of 6 and dined on the lunch set menu which had a good choice of starter, mains and deserts. The food was good and we lingered for a couple of hours after eating with coffees as it was good to catch up, the staff didn't try and rush us away.

Winton House

11 Warden Hill Rd, Cheltenham GL51 3AU, UK – 01242 511417

My daughter attends Winton House but my eldest went to another local nursery full time for 4 years so I do have something to make a comparison with and can't speak highly enough of Winton House and the staff there. Jo is very approachable and familiar and the staff welcome my daughter with open arms every morning. She hates being left with anyone else but loves arriving at Winton House to start her day which speaks volumes.

My son has been going to Winton House for six months. He absolutely loves it and can't wait to leave home in the morning to get there! It's a lovely environment and the staff appear very friendly and helpful. We chose this day nursery having seen quite a few others in the area and have been very pleased with our choice. We would definitely recommend it.

St Thomas More's Pre School & Nursery

Lewis Rd, Cheltenham GL51 0HZ, UK – 01242 300146

Very good standards, friendly and professional staff members provide really excellent care and development for kids. Is hard to get place here because is usually a big queue there so if you're thinking about this nursery, you better start your application a few months ahead. Highly recommended.

Today, with my business Immersive Theatres, I delivered a 5m digital planetarium experience to 90 Year 3, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils at Greatfield Park Primary School. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and was pleasantly surprised to discover the planetarium was to be inflated inside a beautiful glass garden dome. The morning was well organised with all groups arriving on time. The excited students enjoyed a rich selection of content: peering up at the planetarium night sky, visiting the International Space Station, handling a famous meteorite, travelling to the Galapagos with Charles Darwin, learning about a future colonised Moon and discovering how British scientists search for real aliens. Thank you Greatfield Park Primary for a very pleasant visit.
