The food menu is limited but enough that you will be able to find something you fancy. The upshot of the limited menu is that the food was brought out very promptly. We shared the ribs and wings platter which was very nice. The staff were all very friendly and the selection of beers was good. I didn't recognise many of them so I was kindly given a few samples to try before I ordered.
Had a great pre cinema meal with friends. Food was well prepared and delicious. Good service and we didn't have wait too long.

Can't rate it enough. Just walked in today and fantastic experience and food was how it should be. Excellent and well done. Will make a point of visiting again. Thanks.

Fantastic place. Staff are lovely. We went for my birthday and did the tasting menu. We were able to do one meat and one vegetarian menu and the wine pairing. Couldn't fault the food, service or drinks. Very tasty, flavoursome and an amazing experience.
Excellent high end Indian food. Portions a little on the small side, but not stingy. Consider giving the poppadoms a miss as a) they are expensive and b) in an attempt to give them a high end look, the pickles are too small. The beef and aubergine starter is lovely. They serve draft Kingfisher at a reasonable price. Service is good and the surroundings well designed.

Just marvellous from the staff greeting and serving on arrival to the cheeseboard and petit fours at the end. Imaginative, beautifully presented flavour combinations. Special mention to the Thai green curry ice cream and the squid ink sauce. Simply gorgeous!
The food was very good but I would have never guessed this is a 2 star Michelin restaurant and it certainly was miles away from my previous experience at 1 star Michelin restaurants. This said, we did take advantage of the extremely good value for money lunch menu and had a fantastic time. Good food but customer service very poor for this level of restaurant. I really struggled to make a reservation and was initially told the restaurant was fully booked so was very surprised to see more than half the tables empty on arrival. Staff are very friendly but lack customers service training. Nothing to keep our white wine cool on a hot day and I was poured a full glass of wine to taste, the wine, very strange. The decor feels old and tired and although I appreciated the laid back atmosphere the place looks like a pub from outside, extremely simple inside and the toilets look like you got lost in an Ibis hotel. No nice touches like Aessop soap, instead cheap soap coming out of a plastic refill and tic tac served in a shot glass. I highly recommend coming here to take advantage of the Mon-Fri lunch menu but quite frankly not sure why this restaurant has made Michelin star (even one). Had I come on a weekend at full price I would have been disappointed and if I had never been to a Michelin Star restaurant this experience would have contributed very little for me to seek out further Michelin rated restaurant. I revisited the restaurant recently again. This time I wasn't so focused on the fact it's a Michelin star restaurant. I just focused on the food which was top notch and had a lovely time. The atmosphere is definitely a little odd. Very quiet as never fully booked and no music but food won't let this place down so if you don't judge them on their Michelin stars you won't be let down. You will like this restaurant if you prefer more laid back, not snobbish service and atmosphere and if you don't compare to other Michelin star restaurants you may have been to OR if you haven't decided to come here for your first Michelin star experience and if you don't mind there is no music in background.

Beautiful food aside what a lovely owner. It speaks volumes when one of the take away memories was the quality of service and social interactions. This is a proper French restaurant. All the staff members mother tongue is French. A healthy number of the clientele were French too, which speaks volumes for the quality of the adopted cuisine. The food was excellent, an amuse bouche was followed by seasonal mussels and one of prettiest, and delicate desserts I’ve had the pleasure of eating. An enjoyable French experience in Cheltenham. Why head to France? Make sure you book well in advance.
A cracking refined posh nosh. Proper service, with that level of waiting usually reserved for big cities or the mainland continent. Manages to stay relaxed and unpretentious but still felt thoroughly spoilt. Great wine selection with some unpressured guidance from the somelier/waiter. Spot on choice. Can't wait to go back, but need a good enough reason. Is celebrating a weekday good enough?

This meal was a bit of a small family celebration. We were greeted by friendly happy staff. We were given recommendations when we asked for them. The food was all very tasty and of a good sized portion. The bill was very good indeed for the size of our group and the extremely high quality of the food, staff and decor and cleanliness. I could recommend the mayflower highly enough.
Nice place, great staff, delicious food. Very good for vegetarians.

The price reflects what you get at lunchtime the food isn't the best but it's edible. If you go at the wrong time its cold rubbery and floating in grease. I haven't eaten in the evening but today probably put me off going again.
Not much choice of food, but was quick service to sit down.. there are best places

Best non-fine dining Chinese restaurant in UK I reckon. All dishes are so delicious, all starters and main dishes. Starters are really delicious only hope the portion slightly bigger given the price. Main dishes are lovely, especially the tofu was the best ever we had. They do take away too. Will definitely come back.
This has been my go-to Chinese take-away for the last couple of years, the food is very tasty, good sized portions, and fresh. The staff are great, which has prompted me to wrote this review. On my most recent visit I parked as I normally do to collect the take-away in some "parking bays" across the road from the restaurant, the problem is the bays are marked with double yellow lines. On this visit there were TWO parking wardens present aggressively booking people parking there to collect their food. The staff had spotted this and brought my food to the car along with the card machine to pay for it on. That to me was a level of service above and beyond what I would expect and thought it needed sharing.

We went to Indus last night which has a great quirky decor and lovely food and service. It’s a shame it seems to have been hit by the recent controversy over the manager refusing entry to a customer with a guide dog. The manager has since written a sincere apology and admitted that he didn’t know the rules regarding dogs being allowed in restaurants. He’s held his hands up and sent a reply to every person who voiced their opinion about it. I hope the restaurant can continue to succeed as it’s always been one of Cheltenham’s favourites.
Nice restaurant. Tasty indian food. Friendly staff. A shame it has to get such bad press for one mistake in the past. I had a great family meal here and have been going since I was a small boy. Give the guy a break after so many years of loyal service to the local community.
Rotunda Terrace, 5 Montpellier St, Cheltenham GL50 1SW, UK – 01242 228882
Friendly, knowledgeable staff who can recommend dishes based on your tastes. Many curries available and can be customised as you like. Would recommend for a great curry experience in Cheltenham.
Really good Indian food. This is a popular vplace for a reason. Everything we had was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a very popular place for take put/delivery as well.

Great food, service etc. Wasn’t sure about my dish choice so asked the waiter, he suggested an alternative which was delicious! As was the rest of the food (tarka Dahl, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan). Samosas weren’t the best I’ve ever had but everything else was so good it made up for it! Would definitely go again / recommend
We booked a table for a 21st birthday meal recently, the service was excellent, they couldn't do enough for us and the food was amazing would definitely go this restaurant again.
Hanover House Montpellier, Cheltenham GL50 1SD, UK – 01242 510888
Really enjoyed this place the food was delicious. Service was a bit slow but the restaraunt was full. Still very busy at 9pm at night. Cocktails are really good. They even gave us a free shot of their homemade lemonade that was really good. The only down side was we ordered chicken pasta but got a vegetarian one instead, still very good in quality but we were not paying the price of chicken when we didn't get any. The staff were very friendly and nice about it and charged us the vegetarian price. Our waiter didn't speak brilliant English so thus may have been the cause if the confusion
Very impressed. Excellent food and drink. Superb customer service and would definitely recommend to family/friends who haven't visited. A good atmosphere too, helped by a good location.

Love the chilli infused dough pizza!! Generous portions as well. If going a weekend please remember to book your table in advance! There's this lady who serves there who is always smiling and kind..I feel so happy to be served by her every visit! And the place is amazing! It's a church that's converted into a restaurant so it's so spacious and beautiful!!
Great service and delicious dairy free food. Skinny primavera pizza with vegan mozzarella and wholemeal base was tasty and a perfect size accompanied by a zingy slaw. The vegan chocolate and praline torte with coconut and chocolate ripple Gelato was divine. Service was attentive but not formal. Thoroughly recommended

Food was good ... but service wasn't im afraid ... we were looking for waiters to serve us for around 10 min :(
Superb Italian food in a cracking coffee shop environment - just what you want when you need to rest your feet in the middle of a shopping excursion! A good range of food from salads to something more filling, there is something for everyone's taste!

First time to Kindness and Co - Lovely staff, really friendly and helpful. I've never liked beetroot but now having one of their sandwiches I do, it' lovely! The green smoothie was amazing and so refreshing, great place definitely going back!!! recommended!!!!
Yummy - breakfast came with huge mushroom and they easily could cater my allergy.
1 Montpellier Terrace, Cheltenham GL50 1US, UK – 01242 222374
Outstanding food well presented, very professional staff who are attentive. Tasty starters and mains very affordable with a lovely atmosphere. High quality decor. Well done!!
It was my first visit to this lovely restaurant at the top of Montpellier. The decor is good, the staff are attentive and well trained. We were a group of 6 and dined on the lunch set menu which had a good choice of starter, mains and deserts. The food was good and we lingered for a couple of hours after eating with coffees as it was good to catch up, the staff didn't try and rush us away.

In my view is is the best restaurant in Gloucestershire. Love going there. Very welcoming and love the tasting menus and wine pairing. You cannot beat it! We also done the Prithvi and No.38 night which was also amazing. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough if you appreciate amazing food.
We had a wonderful night at Prithvi - the tasting menu was excellent and staff were very attentive.

Not really a gin bar. Drinks are a little expensive and the music can be far too loud for what’s supposed to be a nice bar to relax in and chat. When my group was the only people in the bar, I kindly requested the music be turned down a little but the staff responded with arrogance and disinterest.
We had been out for a meal and it was the perfect place to finish off the evening.
