Local Tourist Information Centres and Shops

Cheltenham Tourist Information Centre

51 Clarence St, Cheltenham GL50 3JT, UK – 01242 387492

Very nice staff but not the easiest place to find or find parking nearby when you're a visitor. Needs looking at.

The Cheltenham Tourist Information Centre staff were very helpful and provided maps and bus timetables to enable me to travel to a number of Cotswold villages without the need to hire a rental car. Staff also suggested a variety of interesting local places to visit in Cheltenham when it was too wet and windy to walk around the Cotswolds.

Hayden Sewage Treatment Works,

Boddington, Nr, Cheltenham GL51 0SP, UK

I didn’t hold out much hope as a first date punt but we were both very surprised. Thoroughly enjoyable to discover what happens once you pull the chain.

Went on a schools information trip. Excellent talk and presenter. Really good practical activity and super interesting tour of the site. Yes...we did see everything that gets flushed!!!!

Marchants Coaches Ltd

61 Clarence St, Cheltenham GL50 3LB, UK – 01242 257714

Definatley would recommend Marchants, been on a fair few trips and their drivers are very polite drivers, they offer good prices. The vehicle I last traveled in was nice and smart 👌🏼

Very clean coaches and great friendly drivers

Just Go! Holidays

Festival House, Jessop Ave, Cheltenham GL50 3SH, UK – 0333 234 2010

We have just got back from Eastbourne. The hotel was lovely and very clean the staff was very friendly. We couldn't find any problems at all with our holiday. We had fantastic weather for the last 5 days. Our coach driver Jordan was so nice and very helpful couldn't wish for a better driver. So thank you we will be going with you again.

Have recently returned from holiday to Alnwick castle, Holy Island & hadrians wall. I should like to say that we had a very enjoyable time and had an excellent, helpful and friendly driver in Serg. Holiday was spoilt by the poor quality of the set main meals provided at our hotel (Jury Inn Gateshead Quays). I have had the same poor standard of meals on a previous Just Go holiday (Westminster Hotel, Rhyll. I for one would be willing to pay slightly more for my holiday if better quality food was provided.

Local Parks & Gardens

Montpellier Gardens

24 Montpellier Spa Rd, Cheltenham GL50 1UL, UK – 01242 262626

Beautiful park - perhaps more functional than pure beauty but acts as a real focal point for so many excellent events in Cheltenham including the Jazz and Food & drink festivals. Always in regular use, great for families whether knocking a ball around or having a picnic. There is a cafe and a lovely restaurant. There are also public tennis courts that can be booked for a very affordable fee.

I was visiting the Gardens Gallery where a new exhibition had just opened. A small group of local artists were showing their work. The gardens themselves form a small but very pleasant park at the southern end of the town. They offer a number of facilities to visitors; a small skate park; a couple of small cafes; tennis courts; a bandstand; and, the gallery - which is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm most days.

Winston Churchill Memorial Gardens

Market St, Cheltenham GL50 3QP, UK – 01242 262626

The recent replanting of this park has greatly improved it, but the antisocial behaviour in the park in the evening has spoilt it ie broken glass bottles and litter

Tidy, quite and nice place next to the city center. Perfect place to escape for lunch.

Imperial Gardens

Imperial Square, Cheltenham GL50 1QZ, UK – 01242 262626

Nice place to sit, lots of stuff happens here. Also had a bar

Lovely place to go and relax with a nice cold cider with loved ones and friends. Sadly the public toilet there is vile stinks and has no soap but if you don't think you'll need to use it you'll be fine

Great website!. Click below to find gardens open during the year around Cheltenham or Gloucestershire. There are photos and lots of detail about the garden.
